Technology Committee
The Technology Committee was formed coming out of the COVID-19 Pandemic as meetings began to return from Remote to In Person or a combination of the two called “Hybrid”. It was now necessary to incorporate cameras, projectors, screens, TVs, microphones and speakers along with the laptops. Internet and wireless connections were necessary in venues which hadn’t needed them previously. Websites became places where 7th Tradition contributions could be made, and events announced. Audiences grew past local boundaries of Districts and Areas. AAs can attend meetings around the world today with a little planning and investment by our Trusted Servants.
If you have any amount of expertise, we would love to add to our committee! Please contact the Technology Chair through our Contact Us link with any questions or suggestions you’d like to share with the Technology Committee, or join us!
The annual National A.A. Technology Workshop (NAATW) was on September 13-15, 2024 and was hybrid (attendance either by Zoom or in person in St. Louis, MO). Visit https://www.naatw.org for more information and recordings of presentations.
Please contact the Technology Chair through our “Contact Us” link with any questions or suggestions you’d like to share with the Technology Committee, or volunteer to join us!
There is a “Technology in A.A.” (TIAA) forum available for sharing technical experience, strength and hope with each other. Here is a link to a slideshow on how to sign up and join in the discussions.
